PLU-1 Antibody (JARIA3D4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PLU-1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). PLU-1 is a large nuclear protein consisting of 1,544 amino acids and is known for its interactions with developmental transcription factors, including brain factor-1 (BF-1) and paired box 9 (PAX9). PLU-1 is a member of the ARID family of DNA-binding proteins and is categorized within the testis-cancer antigen group, highlighting PLU-1′s significance in cancer research. PLU-1 exhibits strong transcriptional repression properties and shows a unique expression pattern, being predominantly found in the testis and transiently expressed in the pregnant mammary gland. Notably, both PLU-1 gene and protein are specifically upregulated in breast cancer, suggesting a potential role in tumorigenesis. PLU-1′s multi-domain structure is crucial for function, as this allows for binding to chromatin, which may be important for regulating meiotic transcription. PLU-1′s ability to interact with other proteins and restricted expression in adult tissues further underscores PLU-1′s relevance in developmental processes and cancer biology, making anti-PLU-1 antibody (JARIA3D4) an essential tool for researchers studying these areas.
