p-CKR-5 Antibody (E11/19) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p-CKR-5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). anti-p-CKR-5 antibody (E11/19) is available as the non-conjugated format. p-CKR-5 protein, also known as CCR5, is a member of the C-C chemokine receptor family, which plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the chemotaxis of T cells and monocytes to sites of inflammation. CCR5 is predominantly located on the surface of immune cells, including T cells and macrophages, where CCR5 facilitates the migration of these cells towards chemokine gradients during immune responses. CCR5′s significance is underscored by CCR5′s role as a coreceptor for HIV, where CCR5 enables the virus to enter host cells, particularly those that are macrophage-tropic. The interaction between CCR5 and HIV highlights CCR5′s dual function in both immune regulation and viral pathogenesis, making CCR5 a significant target for therapeutic interventions aimed at preventing HIV infection. p-CKR-5 (E11/19) antibody can help researchers gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of immune cell trafficking and the implications of CCR5 in viral infections.
