MLH3 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MLH3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MLH3 (H-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MLH3 protein plays a critical role in the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability during DNA replication. MLH3 is primarily located in the nucleus, where MLH3 partners with MLH1 to form a heterodimer that is crucial for recognizing and repairing DNA mismatches. MLH3′s nuclear localization enables direct interaction with other key proteins involved in MMR, such as MSH2 and MSH3, which are responsible for detecting mismatches. MLH3′s effective functioning in the nucleus is vital, as defects in MLH3 can lead to microsatellite instability and are associated with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) and other malignancies. Using anti-MLH3 antibody (H-2) in research can provide valuable insights into DNA repair mechanisms and MMR deficiencies in cancer biology.
