Der Lymphotactin-Antikörper (E-12) ist ein monoklonaler IgG1-Antikörper der leichten Kette Kappa der Maus, der das Lymphotactin-Protein von Mäusen, Ratten und Menschen durch Western Blot (WB), Immunpräzipitation (IP), Immunfluoreszenz (IF) und Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) nachweist. Der Anti-Lymphotactin-Antikörper (E-12) ist sowohl in nicht konjugierter als auch in verschiedenen konjugierten Formen erhältlich, darunter Agarose, Meerrettichperoxidase (HRP), Phycoerythrin (PE), Fluoresceinisothiocyanat (FITC) und mehrere Alexa Fluor®-Konjugate. Lymphotactin ist ein einzigartiges chemokinähnliches Molekül, das hauptsächlich von aktivierten CD8+-T-Zellen produziert wird und eine entscheidende Rolle bei Immunreaktionen spielt, indem es die Migration von T-Zellen zu Entzündungsherden vermittelt. Lymphotactin ist ein C-Typ-Mitglied der Chemokin-Superfamilie, das sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass es nur zwei der vier konservierten Cysteinreste beibehält, die in anderen Chemokinen vorkommen, was für die spezifische Rezeptorbindung und funktionelle Aktivität von Bedeutung ist. In normalen Geweben wird Lymphotactin vorwiegend in der Milz, im Thymus, im Dünndarm und in den Leukozyten des peripheren Blutes exprimiert, mit geringeren Expressionsniveaus in der Lunge, der Prostata und den Eierstöcken. Die Fähigkeit von Lymphotactin, CD4+- und CD8+-T-Zellen anzuziehen, ohne dabei Monozyten zu beeinflussen, unterstreicht seine selektive Rolle bei der T-Zell-vermittelten Immunität. XCR1, der spezifische Rezeptor für Lymphotactin, gehört zur Familie der G-Protein-gekoppelten Rezeptoren, was die Bedeutung dieser Interaktion für die Regulierung des Immunzelltransports und der Immunzellfunktion unterstreicht.
