Inscuteable Antibody (C-8) ist ein monoklonaler Maus IgG2a Antikörper (auch als Inscuteable Antikörper bezeichnet), der das Inscuteable-Protein der Drosophila melanogaster-Herkunft mittels WB, IP, IF und ELISA detektiert. Der Inscuteable Antikörper (C-8) ist sowohl in der nicht konjugierten Form des Anti-Inscuteable-Antikörpers als auch in mehreren konjugierten Formen des Anti-Inscuteable-Antikörpers erhältlich, darunter Agarose, HRP, PE, FITC und mehrere Alexa Fluor®-Konjugate. Die asymetrische Zellteilung erfordert die Orientierung der Mitosespindeln entlang der Zellpolaritätsachse. Bei Drosophila-Neuroblasten ist dies mit der Interaktion der Proteine Inscuteable und Partner of Inscuteable verbunden. Inscuteable ist erforderlich, um die basale Proteinlokalisation mit der Orientierung der Mitosespindel zu koordinieren und zu vermitteln. Ein Scute wird als dünne plattenförmige Struktur definiert.
