IFN-γRβ Antibody (2 HUB 159) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects IFN-γRβ in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). IFN-γRβ, also known as the signal transducing component of the interferon-gamma receptor, plays a crucial role in mediating the biological effects of interferon-gamma, including antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory responses. IFN-γRβ is primarily located on the cell surface, where IFN-γRβ forms a functional receptor complex with IFN-γRα. Both chains are essential for receptor signal transduction, leading to downstream pathway activation that regulates gene expression in response to IFN-γ. IFN-γRβ interaction with Janus kinases (JAK1 and JAK2) upon ligand binding initiates phosphorylation events, resulting in nuclear translocation of transcription factors Stat1α and Stat1β. Understanding IFN-γRβ localization and function is vital, as IFN-γRβ underpins receptor role in immune responses and potential implications in various diseases, including autoimmune disorders and infections.

How can IFN-γRβ (2 HUB 159): sc-53589 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

    Asked by: Germaine
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. This antibody is available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-53589 PE) or fluoroscein (sc-53589 FITC).
