    SEE ALSO...

CTNNAL1 Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CTNNAL1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CTNNAL1 Antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CTNNAL1, also known as catenin (cadherin-associated protein), alpha-like 1, CLLP, or alpha-CATU, is a 734 amino acid cytoplasmic peripheral membrane protein that belongs to the vinculin/alpha-catenin family. CTNNAL1 is predominantly expressed in the adrenal gland and is found at lower levels in neural tissues, where CTNNAL1 plays a crucial role in the regulation of Rho pathway signaling by serving as a scaffold for the Lbc Rho guanine nucleotide exchange factor 1 (RhoGEF p115). CTNNAL1 influences cellular processes such as migration and proliferation, which are vital for tissue repair and development. CTNNAL1 has been implicated in the down-regulation observed in pancreatic carcinoma during differentiation and apoptosis, highlighting CTNNAL1′s potential role in cancer biology. CTNNAL1 exists in three isoforms produced by alternative splicing, which may further diversify CTNNAL1′s functional roles in cellular contexts, including the wound repair and proliferation of human bronchial epithelial cells.
