SEE ALSO...

Cleaved Rock-1 Antibody (4H247) is a mouse monoclonal IgG kappa light chain antibody specifically designed to detect the cleaved form of ROCK1 (Rho-associated coiled-coil-containing protein kinase 1), targeting the caspase-3 cleavage site corresponding to amino acids 1113-1114 of human origin. ROCK1, also known as p160ROCK, ROKβ, or Rho-associated protein kinase 1, is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a pivotal role in regulating the actin cytoskeleton, cell motility, contraction, and apoptosis. Predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and associated with the actin cytoskeleton, ROCK1′s cellular location is critical for modulating stress fibers and focal adhesions, thereby influencing cell shape and movement. Upon activation by RhoA or cleavage by caspase-3 during apoptosis, ROCK1 can translocate to the plasma membrane, leading to increased phosphorylation of downstream targets and promoting cellular events such as membrane blebbing. ROCK1 (4H247) monoclonal antibody is reactive with the cleaved C-terminus of ROCK1 from mouse, rat, human, and canine origins and is suitable for detecting both the cleaved and full-length forms in western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) assays. ROCK1 (4H247) antibody aids in studying the molecular mechanisms underlying cytoskeletal dynamics and apoptosis, which are relevant in various physiological and pathological conditions, including cancer progression.
