Clathrin HC Antibody (STo 3H9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Clathrin HC in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Clathrin HC antibody (STo 3H9) plays a crucial role in studying endocytosis, where Clathrin HC forms a protective coat around vesicles that transport proteins and lipids into the cell. Clathrin HC (STo 3H9) monoclonal antibody recognizes this protein primarily in the cytoplasm, where Clathrin HC is essential for forming clathrin-coated vesicles, which are vital for membrane receptor internalization and cellular signaling pathway regulation. Clathrin HC′s interaction with various adaptor proteins and membrane receptors underscores its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating communication between cell surface and intracellular compartments. Anti-Clathrin HC antibody (STo 3H9) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying endocytic pathways and their implications in various physiological and pathological processes.

Aloha, Do you have a full length Clathrin Ab? Or a clathrin Ab with the SH3 binding site?

    Asked by: Arc Lab HNL
Thank you for your question. We currently offer Clathrin antibodies that recognize either Clathrin HC (heavy chain) or Clathrin LC (light chain). We are not aware of any of our monoclonal Clathrin antibodies having an epitope mapping specifically to the SH3 binding site.

Can Clathrin HC (STo 3H9): sc-53225 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, Clathrin HC (STo 3H9): sc-53225 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
