CD6 Antibody (SPV-L14) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD6 (SPV-L14) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD6 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly located on mature thymocytes, peripheral T cells, and a subset of B cells, playing a crucial role in immune responses. CD6 presence on these immune cells is vital for mediating interactions with thymic epithelial cells, which are essential for T cell development and maturation. CD6 is involved in T cell activation through association with the T cell receptor (TCR) complex, enhancing T cell signaling and promoting effective immune responses.
