SEE ALSO...

c-Yes Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects c-Yes protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHCP, and ELISA. c-Yes (F-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. c-Yes protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. As a member of the Src family of kinases, c-Yes is involved in transducing signals that influence various cellular processes, including motility and adhesion, which are vital for tissue development and repair. c-Yes gene is located on chromosome 18p11.31-p11.21 and encodes a 543 amino acid protein that shares over 80% homology with c-Src, another well-known proto-oncogenic kinase. Structural similarities between these kinases, particularly in their SH3 and SH2 domains, allow for specific substrate interactions, which are essential for their function in signaling pathways. Understanding c-Yes role in these processes is important for elucidating potential implications in cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-8403 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
