c-Kit Antibody (3H1825) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b light chain antibody engineered to specifically target c-Kit, a pivotal receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a fundamental role in regulating essential cellular processes such as chemotaxis, proliferation, apoptosis, and adhesion. Anti-c-Kit antibody (3H1825) is raised against IL-3-dependent mast cells derived from normal bone marrow, and detects c-Kit expression in mouse samples via flow cytometry (FCM). c-Kit, also known as CD117, is integral to the development and function of various cell types, including hematopoietic stem cells, germ cells, and melanocytes, by interacting with its ligand, stem cell factor (SCF), to promote cell survival, differentiation, and migration. The involvement of c-Kit in hematopoiesis and mast cell development underscores c-Kit′s importance in maintaining normal physiological functions. Moreover, mutations and dysregulation of the c-Kit gene are closely associated with the progression and growth of several cancers, such as gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), making c-Kit a significant target for therapeutic interventions. Anti-c-Kit antibody (3H1825) enables researchers to accurately analyze c-Kit expression and investigate its role in both healthy and diseased states, thereby advancing our understanding of its contributions to cellular biology and its potential as a target for cancer treatment.
