3-Phosphono-Pyruvat-Cyclohexylamin-Salz (PPA) ist eine organische Verbindung, die ein Derivat von Pyruvat ist, dem 3-Kohlenstoff-Molekül, das im Krebszyklus vorkommt. Es ist ein leistungsstarker Inhibitor des Enzyms Pyruvatkinase, das eine entscheidende Rolle in der Glykolyse und der Regulation des Glukosestoffwechsels spielt. Dies führt zur Hemmung der Glykolyse und zur Anhäufung von Metaboliten.
