T2R50 Inhibitors

T2R50, part of the bitter taste receptor family T2Rs, is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) implicated in the perception of bitterness. These receptors are expressed predominantly on the surface of taste receptor cells located within the taste buds of the tongue and are responsible for sending signals to the brain when a bitter compound is detected. T2R50, like other T2Rs, is encoded by a specific gene.
