TAPBPL Antibody (42-L) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TAPBPL protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TAPBPL antibody (42-L) is available as a non-conjugated format. TAPBPL, also known as TAPBPR or TAPBP-R, is a 468 amino acid protein characterized by one immunoglobulin-like C1-type domain and one immunoglobulin-like V-type domain. TAPBPL (42-L) antibody recognizes a protein localized to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and microsome membranes, functioning as a single-pass type I membrane protein. Structural similarity to TPN (TAP binding protein) suggests TAPBPL may play a crucial role in antigen processing within the ER, particularly in loading peptides onto major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. This function is vital for immune response, ensuring effective recognition and response to pathogens. TAPBPL interaction with TPN and other proteins involved in antigen presentation highlights its importance in maintaining immune surveillance and response, making TAPBPL a significant target for research in immunology and related fields.
