多胺部位的混合 NMDA 激动剂/拮抗剂。 高浓度（1 mM）时可观察到神经保护作用，低浓度时可观察到神经毒性。 在细胞增殖和分化中发挥作用；抑制神经元一氧化氮合酶（nNOS）。它能增强马钱子碱不敏感的甘氨酸部位的激动剂效力。
