Hello, has anyone tested this antibody on mouse frozen brain sections? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

This antibody has been published in mouse brain samples, and we do list mouse brain as a positive control for this antibody, so yes, I would say that this antibody is perfectly fine for IF use on mouse brain samples. Is this SNAP 25 Antibody (SP12) suitable for detecting the cleaved product of SNAP25 by BoNT/A? Which region of SNAP25 is critical for this antibody to recognize SNAP25? Thanks a lot,

Thank you for your question. The exact epitope recognized by this mouse monoclonal antibody, SNAP 25 (SP12): sc-20038, has not been determined. And Santa Cruz Biotechnology has not conducted internal testing to evaluate detection of the cleaved SNAP 25 protein by BoNT/A. However, this antibody has been successfully used before for this purpose. Please refer to the following journal article on PubMed which cites the SP12 clone provided by Santa Cruz Biotechnology. PMID: 17293454
