Would this (discontinued) polyclonal antibody be expected to detect Indian Hedgehog (Ihh)?  The description stated it detected "broad range of hedgehog family proteins of mouse, rat, human.."

Thank you for your question. Yes, this antigen shares significant sequence identity (>90%) with Ihh.

Hi, one comment - this H-160 pAb is useful for mouse tissue IF or IHC. Your mAb would be less useful for the same purpose. Where could I find the antigen region information that was used to raise the H-160 pAb?

This now discontinued rabbit polyclonal antibody, Shh (H-160): sc-9024, was raised against a recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 41-200 of Shh of human origin. Our recommended replacement mouse monoclonal antibody, Shh (E-1): sc-365112, is also suitable for IF and IHC(P) on mouse tissue. We offer the antibody directly conjugated to HRP, or a variety of fluorescent dyes and you could use the conjugated antibody for staining without having to probe using any anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody for detection. There are also methods for mouse on mouse staining using the unconjugated primary antibody. Please contact Technical Service if you have further questions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shh Antibody (H-160) in WBThis antibody worked perfectly in WB both for human cervical cancer cell lines and immortalized human keratinocytes (HaCaT). It has shown differential expression among different cell lines and the expression was in line with the results of semi-quantitative RT-PCR.
