Rev-erbβ Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rev-erb beta (Rev-erbβ) protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rev-erbβ (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rev-erbβ protein plays a crucial role in regulating circadian rhythms and metabolic processes by acting as a transcriptional repressor. Rev-erbβ helps maintain the balance of gene expression related to the body′s internal clock, influencing sleep-wake cycles and energy homeostasis. Rev-erbβ interacts with specific DNA sequences, such as 5′-AATGTAGGTCA-3′ and 5′-ATAACTAGGTCA-3′, to inhibit retinoic acid-related orphan receptor alpha (RORα) activity, thereby modulating target gene expression involved in these critical biological processes. Both Rev-erbα and Rev-erbβ are classified as nuclear proteins within the nuclear hormone receptor family, highlighting their significance in cellular signaling and gene regulation.
