在 3、3'、4 和 4' 位上含有四个氘原子，可用作气相色谱或液相色谱质谱法定量 PGA2 的内标。前列腺素是一种天然存在于珊瑚中的前列腺素，可能具有自卫功能。1 在 25 µM 浓度下，PGA2 可阻滞 NIH 3T3 细胞在 G1 和 G2/M 阶段的细胞周期进程2 。
