Thank you for your question. Yes, it is possible, however, not guaranteed. I only see the epitope showing up on the 6th isoform, otherwise known as Progerin. Isoforms 1-5 do not have the exact epitope sequence.

is this antibody also working for IF on cells fixed with 4% PFA?

Thank you for your question. Based on our tests, Anti-Progerin Antibody (13A4D4) is only recommended for detection of Progerin of mouse, rat and human origin by WB and IP.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I only recommend this for use with WB.Western blotting showed high specificity for mouse progerin as well as human (1:500). Immunofluorescence staining was only detectable in human cells, and expression of human progerin in mice was not detectable under our conditions (4%PFA 15min/0.1% Triton-X100 10min, 1:50, 4C, overnight). Progerin mouse (G609G/G609G) cells showed false localization with both PFA and MeOH fixation methods.
