    SEE ALSO...

PKAα cat Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody engineered to recognize the human Protein Kinase A catalytic subunit alpha (PKAα cat), also known as PRKACA or Cα subunit. PKAα cat is a crucial enzyme in the cAMP-dependent signaling pathway, playing a vital role in regulating various cellular processes such as metabolism, gene transcription, and ion transport. Structurally, PKAα cat consists of an N-terminal domain, a catalytic domain, and a C-terminal domain, which are essential for kinase activity and interaction with regulatory subunits. The N-terminal region is important for substrate recognition and binding, facilitating the phosphorylation of target proteins. Upon binding cyclic AMP (cAMP), regulatory subunits dissociate from catalytic subunits, activating PKAα cat to phosphorylate specific serine and threonine residues on various substrates, thereby modulating their function. This structural configuration ensures precise regulation of PKAα cat activity, which is critical for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to extracellular signals. PKAα cat interacts with numerous proteins, including the cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB), enhancing gene transcription and influencing cell growth and differentiation. Anti-PKAα cat antibody (F-4) is validated for use in multiple applications, including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), across species such as mouse, rat, and human. By targeting the specific epitope within the N-terminal region, PKAα cat monoclonal antibody (F-4) allows researchers to accurately detect and study the expression, localization, and functional dynamics of PKAα cat in various biological contexts.
