Datasheets
  • Otoconin 90 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ Otoconin 90 antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 115-147 within an internal region of Otoconin 90 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Otoconin 90 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including bovine
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Otoconin 90 Antibody (D-2) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Otoconin 90 Antibody (D-2) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Otoconin 90 Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Otoconin 90 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Otoconin 90 antibody (D-2) is available as the non-conjugated form. Otoconin 90, also known as PLA2L (phospholipase A2 homolog) or OC90, plays a crucial role in forming and regulating otoconia, which are essential for the vestibular system′s ability to sense gravity and linear motion. Located in vestibular macular organs, otoconia are composed of proteins and calcium carbonate crystals, and their inertial mass provides necessary shearing force to stimulate mechanoreceptors in the utricle and saccule, organs responsible for detecting changes in head position. Otoconin 90, a 493 amino acid secreted protein belonging to the phospholipase A2 family, consists of three PA2-type domains and is vital for recruiting other matrix components that contribute to the organic matrix of otoconia. Otoconin 90 is encoded on human chromosome 8, a region associated with various diseases and malignancies, highlighting this protein′s significance not only in sensory function but also in potential pathological conditions.
