NUBP1 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects NUBP1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). NUBP1, also known as cytosolic Fe-S cluster assembly factor NUBP1 or Nbp35, is a crucial 320 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the regulation of centrosome duplication, which is vital for proper cell division and maintaining genomic stability. Anti-NUBP1 antibody (C-7) is a member of the Mrp/NBP35 ATP-binding protein family and exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms, allowing for functional diversity. NUBP1 is integral to the cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe/S) protein assembly machinery, facilitating the transfer of iron-sulfur clusters to specific apoproteins, which is essential for the activity of various enzymes and proteins that rely on these clusters for their function. The gene encoding NUBP1 is located on human chromosome 16, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including giant axonal neuropathy and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome, highlighting NUBP1′s importance in cellular health and disease. NUBP1 monoclonal antibody (C-7) serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of centrosome regulation and iron-sulfur cluster assembly, providing insights into both normal cellular processes and pathological conditions.
