KSP37 (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects KSP37 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KSP37 antibody (D-2) is available as non-conjugated form, as well as multiple conjugated forms including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KSP37 (37 kDa killer-specific secretory protein), also known as FGFBP2 (fibroblast growth factor binding protein 2), is a 223 amino acid protein secreted into extracellular space and belongs to fibroblast growth factor-binding protein family. KSP37 is expressed in serum, cytotoxic T lymphocytes and peripheral leukocytes, and is thought to be involved in lymphocyte-mediated immunity, possibly playing a role in asthma development. The gene encoding KSP37 maps to human chromosome 4, which encodes nearly 6% of human genome and has largest gene deserts (regions of genome with no protein encoding genes) of all human chromosomes. Defects in some genes located on chromosome 4 are associated with Huntington′s disease, Ellis-van Creveld syndrome, methylmalonic acidemia and polycystic kidney disease.
