In the data sheet , it was written the antigen is C-terminal , does the C-terminal region contain Tryosine domain?

Thank you for your question. This antibody was made against a recombinant protein fragment including the C-terminal 100 amino acid residues of human insulin receptor (accession#P06213). There are tyrosine domains within the C-terminus but since the antibody has not been epitope mapped, I do not know if the exact epitope includes a Tyrosine. I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with insulin Rβ (CT-3): sc-57342 monoclonal antibody?

We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins (m-IgGκ) conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. Only in the latter it is slightly visible a band corresponding to mature insulin Rβ chain: 95 kDa. Apparently, no detection of insulin R precursor: 200 kDa. An aspecific band is detected at 70kDa.

The antibody can be also used for Western blot studies of protein extracts from 3T3-L1 adipocytes, including quantitative analyses.
