Hi, I was wondering if I could request a sample of this antibody to test out in our assay? We want to detect synaptic proteins in mouse brain sections by IHC using confocal microscopy.

Does this antibody detect Homer1, Homer2, and Homer3 as well?

Thank you for your question. This mouse monoclonal antibody, Homer (D-3): sc-17842, is raised against Homer-1 of human origin (UniProt accession number: Q86YM7). The exact epitope recognized by this monoclonal antibody has not been determined, but based on sequence analysis there is approximately a 50% chance that this antibody may also cross-react with Homer-2 and Homer-3. This cross-reactivity has not yet been confirmed experimentally.

I need to use an antibody to detect the protein in samples of avian origin. Do you know if this mouse monoclonal antibody will work?
