Halotyrosine Antibody (BTK-94C) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects Halotyrosine in non-species reactive samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Halotyrosine antibody (BTK-94C) is available as a non-conjugated format, specifically designed to identify bromotyrosine modified proteins, which are significant biomarkers of oxidative stress and immune response. Halotyrosine (BTK-94C) antibody detects halotyrosine residues, resulting from tyrosine halogenation, which indicates immune cell activity, particularly eosinophils that release eosinophil peroxidase to generate hypobromite. This reactive species can modify proteins, leading to bromotyrosine residue formation. Elevated halotyrosine modifications have been observed in asthmatic patients, suggesting a connection between halotyrosine and inflammatory processes, while modification levels decrease in response to anti-inflammatory treatments. Halotyrosine monoclonal antibody (BTK-94C) serves as a valuable tool for researchers studying oxidative stress in various diseases and immune response mechanisms.
