Benzylpenicillinate-d7, Potassium Salt is a labeled form of the antibiotic Penicillin G (sc-344973). This antibiotic is a β lactam antibiotic which is usually effective at suppressing the growth of Gram positive bacteria. Studies indicate that Benzylpenicillinate-d7, Potassium Salt acts as an uncompetitive inhibitor of acid phosphatase. In addition, Benzylpenicillinate-d7, Potassium Salt is useful in conjugating proteins such as albumin and globulin in serum which modifies space structure and electrophoretical properties.
