Hello. I need an antiboy for APC. My question is, This antibody (SC-393704) recognize the truncated and full lenght for of APC? I need to study both forms. I prefer one antibody recognizing both form and work for western blot and Immunoprecipitation.

Thank you for your question. APC Antibody (A-3): sc-393704 is specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 2-19 at the N-terminus of APC of human origin. According to Uniprot (http://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P25054#sequences), the short isoform of APC is missing amino acids 312-412. Therefore, this antibody has an epitope that can recognize both the long and short isoforms of APC. However, we have not confirmed this experimentally. The difference in the predicted molecular weights of the isoform is only roughly 11 kDa. This antibody is recommended for Western blot and immunoprecipitation.
