In contrast, chemicals such as ISRIB, by enhancing eIF2B activity, counteract the inhibitory effects of eIF2α phosphorylation, thus indirectly facilitating eIF2S3's role in protein synthesis initiation. Moreover, ER stress inducers like Tunicamycin and Thapsigargin trigger pathways that influence eIF2 signaling, and by extension, eIF2S3's function.
