Looking for a Rad51 aB for mouse experiments. sc-8349 would have worked, but it got discontinued and replaced by sc-398587. The latter was produced in mouse, so I have concerns of x-reactivity. Was 398587 validated for mouse work? If not, any alternative?

Asked by: Alberto
Thank you for your question. Even though the host is mouse the antibody has been validated to work in mouse, rat and human. If you have issues with the antibody please contact us for troubleshooting.

hi, in our laboratory we still have RAD51 H-92 sc-8349 antibody and I would like to use it in a western blot. Being discontinued, I can't find the concentrations suggested for the western blot. Could you give me some information? Thank you in advance

Can you tell me the epitope region for this antibody? and the immunogen used?

Asked by: Chris556
Thank you for your question. This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against amino acids 1-92 of Rad51 of human origin. This is a polyclonal antibody, so it has potentially epitopes that can recognize this complete amino acid sequence.
