TRAF5 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects TRAF5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRAF5 is a crucial member of the TNF receptor-associated factor (TRAF) protein family, which plays a significant role in mediating signal transduction from the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. TRAF5 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where TRAF5 forms complexes with other signaling molecules, facilitating the activation of downstream pathways such as NF-kappa B, which is essential for regulating immune responses and cell survival. TRAF5 influences various signaling events from receptors like CD27, CD30, and lymphotoxin-beta receptor, thereby impacting processes such as osteoclastogenesis and immune cell activation. TRAF5 can undergo post-translational modifications, including ubiquitination, which can alter activity and stability, further emphasizing TRAF5′s importance in cellular signaling and immune regulation. With two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein, anti-TRAF5 antibody (C-4) provides a reliable tool for researchers investigating the complex roles of TRAF5 in health and disease.
