TRAF5 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TRAF5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRAF5 is a crucial member of the TNF receptor-associated factor (TRAF) protein family, which plays a significant role in mediating signal transduction from the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. TRAF5 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where TRAF5 forms complexes with various receptors, including CD40, CD27, and CD30, facilitating essential signaling pathways that lead to the activation of NF-kappa B and the regulation of cell survival. Proper functioning of TRAF5 is vital for immune responses, particularly in processes like osteoclastogenesis, where TRAF5 influences the differentiation and activation of osteoclasts, cells responsible for bone resorption. Additionally, TRAF5 undergoes post-translational modifications, such as ubiquitination, which can affect stability and activity, further underscoring TRAF5′s importance in cellular signaling and immune regulation. With two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein, TRAF5 continues to be a focal point of research, highlighting TRAF5′s diverse roles in health and disease.
