Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every scientist using chromatin precipitationEvery scientist using chromatin precipitation (ChIP) knows how it is difficult to find a specific and "not capricious" perfect-quality antibody for a ChIP. In our search for the most appropriate antibody for PPARa, we tested around 6 of them, ordered from different companies. Without any doubts, H-98 (s-9000) gave the most reliable and specific result among the others as controlled using our previously known binding sites for PPARa. Our first study using this antibody was published already couple of years ago (Thomas et al, Mol Pharmacol 2013), our two next studies using this antibody are currently in the final stages of revision. Conclusion: highly recommended for ChIP studies in primary cells with very low starting material.
