Pim-2 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Pim-2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Pim-2, a serine/threonine kinase encoded by the pim-2 gene, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation, making Pim-2 a significant player in oncogenesis. Pim-2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the nucleus under certain conditions, which is important for regulating gene expression and cellular responses to stress. The presence of Pim-2 in hematopoietic lineages and elevated levels in leukemic and lymphomic cells highlight Pim-2′s potential as a biomarker for cancer progression and treatment response.
