KSP37 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects KSP37 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KSP37, also known as fibroblast growth factor binding protein 2 (FGFBP2), is a 223 amino acid protein secreted into the extracellular space and is a member of the fibroblast growth factor-binding protein family. KSP37 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte-mediated immunity, which is essential for the body′s defense against pathogens and may also be implicated in the pathogenesis of asthma. KSP37 is expressed in serum, cytotoxic T lymphocytes, and peripheral leukocytes, highlighting its importance in immune responses. The gene encoding KSP37 is located on human chromosome 4, a region known for its extensive gene deserts and associations with various genetic disorders, including Huntington′s disease and polycystic kidney disease. The ability of KSP37 to bind fibroblast growth factors suggests that KSP37 may influence cellular signaling pathways, further underscoring its significance in both normal physiology and disease states.
