CD1D Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD1D in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CD1D antibody (G-10) targets CD1D protein, which plays a crucial role in the immune system by presenting lipid antigens to T lymphocytes, thereby influencing T cell activation and maturation. CD1D protein is primarily located on the surface of various immune cells, including intestinal epithelial cells, where CD1D exists in both β-2-Microglobulin-independent and β-2-Microglobulin-dependent forms. CD1D expression on these cells is vital for the recognition of lipid antigens, which can lead to the activation of specific T cell responses, particularly in mucosal immunity. The human CD1D gene, located on chromosome 1q23.1, encodes a 335 amino acid protein that is essential for the development of CD1-restricted T cells, highlighting CD1D′s importance in maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to lipid-based pathogens.

What blocking solution should I use with CD1D (G-10): sc-271340 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
