ACTR5 Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects ACTR5 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACTR5, also known as Actin-related protein 5 or ARP5, is a 607 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role as a component of the INO80 chromatin remodeling complex, which is essential for the regulation of gene expression. ACTR5′s ability to interact with various Actin-related proteins highlights its importance in transcriptional regulation, as these interactions facilitate the remodeling of chromatin structure, thereby influencing the accessibility of DNA to transcriptional machinery. The gene encoding ACTR5 is located on chromosome 20, a region that is significant not only for its size—comprising approximately 2% of the human genome—but also for its association with several neurological disorders, including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
