ZFYVE16 Antibody (1H6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects ZFYVE16 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ZFYVE16 antibody (1H6) is available as a non-conjugated format. ZFYVE16, also known as endofin or endosome-associated FYVE domain protein, is a 1539 amino acid protein characterized by a FYVE-type zinc finger domain, which is crucial for localization to early endosomes. This domain facilitates ZFYVE16 binding to phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PI3P), a lipid playing a significant role in cellular signaling and membrane dynamics. Proper localization of ZFYVE16 is essential for regulating membrane trafficking within the endosomal pathway, where ZFYVE16 interacts with key proteins such as Smad4 and TOM1. These interactions are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and facilitating protein and lipid transport, thereby influencing various cellular processes, including signal transduction and nutrient uptake. ZFYVE16 has three named isoforms resulting from alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in different cellular contexts.
