They have easy-to-read black graduation marks and a large white area for labeling, which provides excellent contrast for identification. Centrifuge tubes are ideally used for separating samples into its components by centrifugation. Conical bottoms help collect heavier or solid components of the sample. Centrifuge tubes can withstand a maximum relative centrifugal force of 12,000 (g) and rated for temperatures from -80°C to 120°C.
