THOC6 Antibody (L-81) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects THOC6 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). THOC6, also known as WDR58, is a 341 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of seven WD-repeats, which are essential for THOC6′s role in the THO/TREX complex. The THO/TREX complex is crucial for gene expression regulation, as THOC6 (L-81) is recruited to transcribed genes and travels alongside RNA polymerase II during transcription elongation. THOC6′s interaction with RNA polymerase II couples transcription with RNA splicing and export, ensuring proper mRNA processing and nuclear transport. Multiple THOC6 isoforms from alternative splicing create diverse regulatory mechanisms in different cellular contexts. Anti-THOC6 antibody (L-81) effectively recognizes THOC6 across various species, making this antibody valuable for studying gene expression and regulatory pathways.
