    SEE ALSO...

TEX14 Antibody (4E4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TEX14 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TEX14 antibody (4E4) is available as the non-conjugated form. TEX14, also known as testis expressed 14 or SGK307 (sugen kinase 307), is a crucial 1,497 amino acid protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily, primarily expressed in the testis. The gene encoding TEX14 is located on chromosome 17 and plays a vital role in spermatogenesis, particularly in maintaining the normal structure of the intercellular bridge that connects spermatocytes and spermatogonia. This intercellular bridge is essential for the proper development and differentiation of germ cells, ensuring successful sperm production. TEX14 co-localizes with the centralspindlin complex, including MKLP-1 (mitotic kinesin-like protein 1) and male germ cell Rac GTPase, facilitating the conversion of midbody matrix proteins into stable intercellular bridge components. TEX14 features three ankyrin repeats and one protein kinase domain, and exists in three isoforms due to alternative splicing events, which may contribute to functional diversity in spermatogenesis.
