Tara Antibody (2438C1a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Tara in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Tara, also known as TRIOBP (TRIO and F-actin-binding protein) or DFNB28, is a crucial protein predominantly expressed in the heart and placenta, with localization in both the nucleus and cytoplasm. TRIOBP features a pleckstrin homology domain at its N-terminus and a coiled-coil region at its C-terminus, which are essential for interactions with Trio, TRF1, and F-actin. These interactions are vital for neural tissue development and actin cytoskeleton organization, as TRIOBP (2438C1a) stabilizes F-actin structures, thereby influencing cell growth and motility. Mutations in TRIOBP can lead to autosomal recessive nonsyndromic sensorineural deafness type 28 (DFNB28), highlighting its significance in human health. TRIOBP exists in five isoforms due to alternative splicing, with isoform 3, known as the long isoform, being exclusively expressed in the fetal retina, cochlea, and brain, further underscoring TRIOBP′s diverse roles in development and cellular function.
