RICK Antibody (25) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects RICK in mouse, rat, human, and canine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). RICK Antibody (25) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. RICK (receptor-interacting protein kinase), also known as RIP2 or CARDIAK, plays a crucial role in the regulation of apoptosis and the activation of nuclear factor kappa B (NFkB), which are essential processes in cellular responses to stress and inflammation. RICK is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where RICK interacts with various signaling complexes, particularly those associated with tumor necrosis factor receptors (TNFR). This localization is vital as RICK effectively mediates the signaling pathways that lead to cell survival or death, depending on the context. RICK in these complexes facilitates the recruitment of other proteins, such as those in the TNFR-associated factor (TRAF) family, which are critical for the downstream signaling events that determine cellular outcomes. Understanding the function and localization of RICK is important for elucidating RICK′s role in diseases characterized by dysregulated apoptosis and inflammation, making anti-RICK antibody (25) a valuable tool for researchers studying these pathways.

Does this antibody work for IHC on frozen mouse tissue? can we buy this antibody conjugated to Alexa Fluor 488?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. RICK Antibody (25): sc-136059 is only recommended for detection of RICK of mouse, rat, human and canine origin by WB, IP and IF using cell samples rather than tissue sections. The antibody is currently not available as an AF488 conjugate.

I am using RICK (25): sc-136059 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
