Rab 32 Antibody (D-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rab 32 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Rab 32 antibody (D-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rab 32 is a 225 amino acid protein that belongs to the small GTPase superfamily and plays a crucial role in vesicle and granule targeting within cells. Notably, Rab 32 has an atypical GTP-binding sequence, DIAGQE, which differs from the more common DTAGQE found in other RAB proteins, highlighting unique functional properties. Rab 32 acts as an A-kinase anchoring protein by binding to the type II regulatory subunit of protein kinase A, effectively anchoring it to mitochondria, which is vital for regulating mitochondrial dynamics and function. Rab 32 is widely expressed in various tissues, including heart, liver, kidney, bone marrow, testis, colon, and fetal lung, and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of certain cancers, such as microsatellite instability-high colon cancers, where Rab 32 is frequently hypermethylated. The gene encoding Rab 32 is conserved across multiple species, including chimpanzees, bovines, mice, rats, chickens, zebrafish, fruit flies, mosquitoes, and Caenorhabditis elegans, and is located on human chromosome 6q24.3, underscoring evolutionary significance and potential as a biomarker in cancer research.
