OTX3 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects OTX3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). OTX3 (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. OTX3 plays a crucial role in the development of the central nervous system, particularly in the regulation of gene expression during brain development. OTX3 is primarily located in developing neural tissues, where OTX3 is essential for postnatal survival and growth. OTX3 functions as a transcriptional repressor, specifically inhibiting OTX2-mediated transactivation by forming a heterodimer with OTX2 on the TAATCC consensus motif, which is vital for maintaining the balance of gene expression necessary for proper brain patterning and development. The interaction between OTX3 and OTX2 highlights the importance of these proteins in the intricate network of transcription factors that govern neural development, ensuring that the brain develops correctly and functions optimally.
