Hello, I am using "OPG Antibody (N-20): sc-8468" in WB, and I want to know which molecular weight is detected by this specific antibody? should it be two bands, or just one? If just one, what is the molecular weight? Thank you,

Thank you for your question. OPG protein has been reported as an approximately 60 kDa monomer, and a 120 homodimer (PMID: 9765225). The expected molecular weight you observe when using this OPG antibody will depend upon what type of samples you are testing, and your experimental conditions.

Thank you for your question. This antibody is a goat polyclonal antibody, so you can use a normal goat IgG as a negative control, such as sc-2028 (https://www.scbt.com/scbt/product/normal-goat-igg?requestFrom=search). For blocking we would recommend using serum from the species that your secondary antibody is made in (so if you are using a donkey anti-goat secondary, we would recommend blocking in donkey serum).
