N,N-Dimethyl-Casein can be used in assays to detect and help determine the functional role of tissue transglutaminase (tTG) in disease. In particular, N,N-dimethyl-Casein has been used in the mechanic and kinetic analysis of tTG on protein substrates, which may be linked to neurodegenerative disease. Casein has a number of biochemical and physiological effects. It can increase the production of certain hormones, such as insulin, which can help regulate blood sugar levels. It has also been found to increase the absorption of certain minerals, like calcium, which can help promote bone health. In addition, casein can reduce hunger and promote muscle growth and recovery.
