SEE ALSO...

LZTFL1 Antibody (35-Y) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects LZTFL1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LZTFL1, or leucine zipper transcription factor-like protein 1, is a 299 amino acid protein sharing 90% sequence identity with its mouse counterpart, highlighting evolutionary conservation. LZTFL1 shows strong expression in liver, brain, lung, and kidney during early development, while adult tissues express LZTFL1 in testis, heart, thymus, pancreas, ovary, prostate, colon, skeletal muscle, and small intestine. A leucine zipper motif and multiple coiled-coil domains in LZTFL1 suggest important roles in transcriptional regulation, crucial for maintaining cellular functions and responding to developmental cues. Located in a tumor suppressor region on chromosome 3, LZTFL1 may participate in tumor suppression mechanisms. Alternative polyadenylation produces two LZTFL1 isoforms, contributing to functional diversity and tissue-specific regulation.

Can sc-100968: LZTFL1 (35-Y) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100968: LZTFL1 (35-Y) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
